Cornucopia works with organizations to help create a culture that centers on individual growth, helping employees to give their best. When employees grow professionally, it indicates that the organisation knows how to maximize the value of its best assets – people.

At Cornucopia, we develop capability building programs resulting in sustainable benefits for the organisation through long term impact in the behavior and performance of the people. These interventions facilitate an employee to use his knowledge, skills and competencies and convert them into implementable actions to achieve business growth.

We partner with companies to develop the Learning & Development strategy including Leadership Development.

Our programs cover a wide spectrum of employees – from running Finishing Schools for fresh graduates, Academies for Pharma Selling professionals and Regulatory Professionals, Management Development Programs and Leadership Development Programs and a variety of soft skills programs.

Cornucopia Advantage

Our strength lies in identifying the skills and development areas required by different levels of employees in the organization and creating customized learning interventions which makes business sense.

We undertake the entire gamut of training activities which include training needs analysis, actual delivery and post training evaluation.

Our experienced trainers draw on their wide corporate experience to bring depth and perspective to the training sessions.

Our USP lies in the post training hand holding we provide to clients in terms of action oriented projects, providing feedback on these action learning projects and working with the employees to implement the learning at the work place.

Finishing School

The traditional Finishing School taught young women of the elitist society how to walk, talk, dress, interact with others before they debuted in society. This concept is now adapted to groom young college students for their debut into the corporate world.

India Inc’s need for Finishing School today

Today, India churns out a huge number of graduates every year, who are brilliant in academics but lack the business skills to succeed in the workplace.

Cornucopia helps build the employability skills of these graduates to make them successful. Communication, interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiating skills as well as cultural awareness is “a business need” in an increasingly globalised world.

Cornucopia’s Finishing School has a well thought out curriculum that helps refine and hone the “soft skills” of the graduates thereby preparing them for the corporate world.

It’s a win-win both for the graduate and India Inc – we help build etiquette, finesse and confidence in these young graduates and the industry gets “ready-made” employees who can hit the ground running; thereby saving on time and training costs.

Cornucopia’s USP – we not only train the graduates but hand-hold, coach and mentor them, thereby building a valuable partnership with institutions and industry alike!

Academies

Training Programs

Our trainers come with an eclectic background of training experience and conduct training sessions on varied skills and behaviours focused on Managing Self and Managing Others.

We believe in a long term and holistic approach in training. It involves getting to the core need for training through focus group discussions, meetings with leaders, understanding the challenges and designing programs that address the challenges.

Our training sessions are interactive, practical and provide the participants with inputs that can be implemented in the workplace. We also provide post training support to the organizations and participants through action learning projects.

Journey Programs

Journey Programs are training interventions conducted over a few months. These leadership programs are conducted across various levels in the organisation.

Supervisory Skills Program

Supervisors are an important part of the management chain. They are based where the rubber hits the road – where the action is, trying to get their teams to deliver. In order to be effective supervisors, they need to be able to set goals and prioritize, delegate, coach and develop their team members, communicate to inspire and collaborate with others to get the work done. At the same, they need to understand the Labour Laws and its implications when managing the workforce.

Cornucopia’s 3-day program covers these essential skills through case studies, role plays, activities, videos, etc. Implementation of the learning is measured through action learning projects which are evaluated by a panel for practical application of skills at the workplace.

First Time Managers’ Program

The most important challenge for a first time manager is transitioning from doing one’s work to getting the work done. In order to be an effective manager, the first step is to manage oneself – understanding one’s strengths and weaknesses, setting an example, learning from mistakes.

The second aspect is to learn to manage others – understanding that every team member is different is the key to building relationships. Leveraging the strengths of team members to achieve the overall team goals, setting expectations, providing feedback coaching, guiding and developing team members are critical skills for the first time managers.

Our program includes pre-work, is designed over 4 days, where participants undertake a journey to discover themselves, learn tips and tricks to manage their team members, adopt different leadership styles to become effective managers who get things done.

Action Learning Projects (ALPs) after each module facilitate the implementation of learning at the workplace. These ALPs are evaluated by the facilitator panel and successful participants receive a certification.

Leadership Interventions

Based on the needs of the organisation, challenges faced by the teams and managers, highly customized leadership interventions are designed for the middle and senior level leadership teams. These are intense interventions which involve psychometric tools, 360 Degree Feedback Surveys, Peer feedback, training sessions and one to one coaching sessions. The intervention could spread over a few months depending on the requirement of the client.

In some cases, our consultants have been part of the business sessions to observe behaviours and provide feedback.

Cornucopia offers Developmental Assessment Centres with a view to identifying the strengths and areas of learning for the people.

Competency is a cluster of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours. We consider the inter-play within this definition as “knowledge helps to build the skills and behaviours help to demonstrate the skills”. Hence, a competency, at the end, becomes a demonstrated behaviour. This factor is well engrained in our approach to Assessment Centres.

Our Assessment Centre is an end to end service, encompassing:

  • Building a competency profile for the target group, through focused interactions;
  • Building tools using “in-tray” to assess the behaviours;
  • Individual Assessment Reports;
  • One on One feedback to participants on their areas of learning as well as areas of strength;
  • OD analysis using the Assessment data and management presentation.

Our robust process ensures:

  • The element of human bias is significantly reduced, if not eliminated
  • Tool is designed in such a manner that the participants are “out of their comfort zones”
  • Profiled competencies are elaborately defined

Rating scale is designed such that the final assessment report carries clarity
